Frequently asked questions

Vehicle insurance: frequently asked questions

Does iCore remind me before a vehicle insurance policy expires?

Yes. You can set reminder days for each policy, and the dashboard shows policies about to expire and expired so no vehicle runs without active cover.

How are insurance claims managed in iCore?

A claim is linked to the policy, vehicle and accident and moves through draft, review and approval or rejection; the net amount after the deductible is calculated, receipt of payment is recorded and the claim is closed.

Can a claim be created from a recorded accident?

Yes. A claim can be created from a recorded accident with its details imported, and the vehicle’s transfer to the workshop, repair and pickup are followed.

Are insurance premiums posted to accounting?

Yes. iCore creates entries for the premium, policy expense and prepaid expense, plus the claim receivable and collection of the approved amount, with cost centres.
